Do you have clients send you low-res raster logos? Do they change the file extension from JPEG to EPS and try to fool you? Would ASCII art be more useful than the pixelated GIFs they send you? Well, don’t just grumble about their files. Do something about it!
This meeting is dedicated to Adobe Illustrator. We’ll explore a variety of techniques to take the ugly duckling, web-sized logos we get from clients, co-workers and bosses and transform them into beautiful, vector swans. But we need your help! Send us your poor, tired, and low-res logos. We’ll show you how to create vector versions of them with accuracy and speed. Your colleagues will be amazed at your mad skills and your clients will love you!
Our presenters for this meeting are Bruce Harris, Aaron Zalonis, and Kelly Vaughn.
We’ll be covering topics such as:
- Why you should use the Shape Builder instead of the PathFinder
- Blends: what they are and why they are useful
- Gradients and Gradient Meshes
- Image Trace
The actual tools we’ll cover will depend entirely upon what images you send us to work with. So bring it on! Send us the most pixelated logos you’ve got! Email your raster logos to: firstname.lastname@example.org
As always, we have great raffle prizes, so bring a few dollars cash. The raffle tickets sales go to offset the cost of refreshments. Our raffle prizes include great books, great software and a free copy of some great Adobe software.
