Love fonts? We do! So come join the Font Club. Join us on October 10th as we discuss all things fonts.

First, we’ll have some fun. We’ll talk about finding and selecting fonts, chat about font formats, and talk about what InDesign does well (and doesn’t) with fonts and play with some cool tools. Then we’ll help you navigate some of the new confusing font technologies. SVG, HTML5, bitmap fonts, OTFV and other font technologies are here to make our lives easier more confusing, so we’ll tell you what you need to know now — and show you what is coming soon.

Great news! We are coming back to Raleigh! We’ll meet this time at the North Carolina Retail Merchants Association as they have graciously volunteered to host us. Who is the NCRMA? NCRMA is a non-profit association that was organized in 1902 to improve the business climate for retail merchants in NC. NCRMA is proud to continue to be the voice of the retail industry in North Carolina. Learn more about them here:

As always, to pay for our expenses, we rely upon our popular raffle instead of a member subscription. For only $1 per ticket, you have the chance to win books, plugins, software, T-shirts, and more. Please bring a few dollars cash to purchase some raffle tickets.

Note: The address above leads to the parking garage for NCRMA to make it easy for you to set your GPS. The front door of NCRMA is actually located at 209 Fayetteville Street, we will post walking directions from the garage to the front door soon!

Even after discovering the styles palettes, you may still be wasting time and effort using them incorrectly. If you’re looking to potentially save hours, if not fortnights, by streamlining your workflow and increasing your InDesign styles knowledge, then Adobe InDesign Styles by Michael Murphy is a fantastic place to start.
